Our GCL Products Installed in A City Reconstruction Project
Our GCL products got installed in a city reconstruction project recently.
GCL, known as geosynthetic clay liner, can be used in landfills, lake and river governance project.
For its installation, if moisture appears on the ground, drainage precautions must be taken first to prevent the early hydration of the bentonite cushion and affect the normal use of the waterproof blanket. After the construction of the cushion layer, cement mortar with a thickness of 3-5 cm should be laid to prevent the waterproof layer from contacting water and early hydration. Generally, the total compacted volume of concrete is not less than 10cm.
GCL should be fixed it with nails and washers with 30cm intervals. After the construction of the bentonite waterproof blanket, the construction personnel must pay attention to prevent the damage of the bentonite cushion.
Before carrying out the next process, check whether the bentonite waterproof layer is lost. If there is any loss or damage, use sealant or bentonite powder to repair. In order to increase the watertightness of the overlapping part of the bentonite pad, it can be reinforced by using bentonite powder or a bentonite sealant.
