Geotextile

In the construction process, the influence of environmental humidity change on geotextile is mainly reflected in the following aspects:

1. Reduce the strength and stability: when the environmental humidity increases, the fibers in the geotextile material will absorb moisture and expand, which may lead to the weakening of the connection between the fibers, and then reduce the strength and stability of the geotextile. This effect is particularly obvious in the wet environment, and may make the geotextile more prone to break or fail when subjected to external forces.

2, water resistance is weakened: an important function of geotextile is waterproof and isolation. However, in wet environments, water may penetrate inside the geotextile, reducing its water resistance performance. This may not only lead to the infiltration of water in the soil into the engineering structure, but may also may affect the bonding effect of the geotextile and other materials, thus affecting the quality of the whole project.

3, weather resistance decline: long-term exposure to the wet environment, the weather resistance of the geotextile may be reduced. Damp and temperature changes may lead to corrosion, mildew and aging of geotextile materials, thus shortening their service life.
